Industrial designer Phil Cuttance demonstrates how he uses a machine of his own design to make faceted geometric vases by spinning a paint and water-based resin mix in a polypropylene mould formed by a triangular grid. It sounds intense, but watching the process is somehow both mind-blowing and therapeutic. I think it’s the gentle swinging that fills the mold.  The panes of the end shape feels like modern architecture (the Hearst tower perhaps), but the colors are pleasantly antiquated.
