As New Yorkers, we require (demand!) one incredibly debilitating, pain in the ass blizzard per month. Photos from the NYT.

Where for art thou retro spring wardrobe?
What is it about Clemence Poesy that sometimes she looks adorable, like a pre cracked-out OC era Mischa Barton, and sometimes she looks like a kinda possessed Topanga? Either way, I love the styling in this Marie Claire editorial. That powder blue trench and I are falling deeply in love. And the combination of trench and voluminous skirt is so retro and girly, but with that power-bitch face...

Diggin on this Vera Wang Pre-Fall collection right now. Although I’d like it to be mine for Pre-Spring. More here.
Haven’t seen this pointed out as a forthcoming trend yet, but I’m noticing, and appreciating, a lot of clean pleats around. On this very blog, in this sky blue dress and this trimmed ruffly one.

Was pleasantly surprised today to see that Paris vs. New York, a tally of two cities, is still making new illustrations.

This is probably my subconscious pining for spring, but how sweet is this editorial for Elle France?

The New York Apartment of Vogue’s Lauren Santo Domingo. Yup, that’s a hippo-transformer bar.
This space incorporates so many of my grown-up apartment requirements. Seen here: windows, living plants, and books on top of and behind more books.

This Is Not What I Look Like in the Snow
Most other times, sure, I’m lounging on river banks and in my underwear in front of dilapidated barns, but today I was hunched over in my giant puffy coat, my face in a lovely braced against the flying snow expression, same as you New York Times. (Photos via The New York Times)

Watching The World Have a Ballet Moment
Costume sketches for Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan designed by the brilliant Rodarte.
I’m so giddy that it seems everyone is having a ballet moment thanks to the popularity of Black Swan, and maybe a little left-over love for Kanye’s “Runaway” video. To see something that’s been a huge part of my life come to the forefront of pop culture, if only for a month...

These little twitter break-out hashtags make my day. I’ve been slacking on the tweeting front and I can’t bare to think that I’ve been missing them.

Light Up
Came across these lights by industrial designer Lindsey Adelman on Svpply (they are now on mine, of course) and can’t decide which I like better, the fixtures, or the rooms they’re styled in.
